Favorite Ground Beef and Beans |

We serve this as an entree but I'm sure you could use this as a side dish for grilling. I usually serve this with a salad and crusty rolls.....yummmy. Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef |
1 large onion, chopped |
28 ounces baked beans, undrained |
15 1/2 ounces butter beans, drained and rinsed |
15 ounces kidney beans, drained and rinsed |
12 ounces chili sauce |
2 (4 1/2 ounce) cans chopped green chilies |
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar |
3 teaspoons chili powder |
shredded cheddar cheese, if desired |
Directions:
1. In 10 inch nonstick skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until beef is thoroughly cooked; drain. 2. In slow cooker, mix cooked beef mixture and remaining ingredients except cheese. 3. Cover; cook on low heat setting 4 hours. 4. Top individual servings with cheese. |
