I just love cream cheese frosting! My delicious tangy and not to sweet cream cheese frosting is wonderful spread on many different kinds of cakes. Sometimes I like to add 2 teaspoons of grated lemon, orange, or lime zest to the recipe for a bright citrus flavor. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, softened |
8 ounces cream cheese, softened |
2 cups powdered sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. In a medium mixing bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed cream butter and cream cheese until smooth.
2. On low speed gradually add powdered sugar. Add vanilla and beat until smooth and creamy.
