Fat Ronnies Deep Fried Fresh Mushrooms |

I loved fried mushrooms and this recipe is as good as I have ever gotten from any restaurant...I will be honest and say that the prep for the mushrooms is messy but well worth it! Ingredients:
2 cup flour |
1 1/2 tsp salt |
1 tsp pepper |
1/2 tsp baking powder |
1 cup buttermilk |
8 oz fresh mushrooms (washed, dried, and stems removed) |
veg oil |
Directions:
1. Heat oil to 375. 2. Place buttermilk in bowl and set aside. Mix flour, salt, pepper, and baking powder in separate bowl. 3. Coat mushrooms with flour mixture, dip mushrooms in buttermilk, and finally re-coat mushrooms with flour mixture again. 4. Place mushrooms in hot oil, be careful not to crowd. 5. When mushrooms turn golden brown remove and drain on a paper towel-add more seasoning to your taste. 6. Fried mushrooms should be served immediately for the best taste! |
