I don't know where the name came from, but they are a fun little nibble and very easy to make. Almost like candy. Ingredients:
2 sleeves of graham crackers |
1 cup of butter |
1 cup of brown sugar |
1 package of heath chips (skor chips) toffee chips |
1 small package of slivered almonds or whatever nut you prefer |
Directions:
1. Line a greased cookie sheet with graham crackers. 2. Boil until bubbly, one cup of butter and one cup of brown sugar. 3. Pour over crackers and bake at 400 degrees for 5 to 7 minutes. 4. Sprinkle generously with your choice of toppings, the toffee chips and almonds are my favorites. 5. Cut in squares within 10 minutes or they will break and shatter when cut. |
