I almost did not post this as it is too simple. I figure that anyone or everyone has already done this. I was fixing chicken enchiladas a few years ago and wanted to throw together a quick side dish so this is it. Read more . I put 5-25 minutes down for the time as it depends on if you use real or quick rice. I am almost embarrassed about posting it, but it does work and is easy so I figured I would share. Since this site is not just about putting together complicated recipes, but the everyday short cuts. Give it a shot see what you think. Ingredients:
normal long grain rice |
1 cup rice |
1 1/2 cups of water |
1/2 cup of your favorite salsa. |
instant rice |
1 cup instant rice |
3/4 cup water |
1/4 cup of your favorite salsa. |
Directions:
1. Cook according to the directions on the rice package. 2. How simple is that? |
