The quickest, easiest way to spruce up refrigerated rolls! This was one of my mom's classic company side dishes (we kids knew when we were having guests for dinner when we saw this recipe on the counter). It originally came from the pastor's wife, Gina Hoffman, at our church growing up. You can increase the seasonings to taste - I typically use a little more of the garlic powder and oregano. Ingredients:
1 (10 ounce) package refrigerated buttermilk biscuits |
4 tablespoons butter or 4 tablespoons margarine, melted |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt |
1/4 teaspoon oregano |
1 dash black pepper |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven as directed on biscuit packaging. 2. Roll each biscuit into a snake ; then tie in a basic knot. 3. Place rolls in baking pan or dish (the dish needs to have a rim so the butter sauce doesn't spill in the oven). 4. Combine melted butter with seasonings, brush or spoon half of mixture over rolls. 5. Bake according to biscuit package directions. 6. Brush/spoon remaining butter sauce over baked rolls. 7. Serve immediately. |
