A good meatloaf, that isn't as mushy as some. The sauce really adds to it. Ingredients:
1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs |
1/2 cup milk |
2 lbs lean ground beef |
1 egg, slightly beaten |
1/4 cup finely chopped onion |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 teaspoon sage |
3 tablespoons brown sugar |
1/4 cup ketchup |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
Directions:
1. Soak bread crumbs in milk. 2. Add remaining ingredients, pack lightly into greased loaf pan. 3. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. 4. Combine sauce ingredients in small bowl, spread over top of meat loaf. 5. Bake an additional 45 minutes. 6. Slice to serve. |
