Nothing can beat greens from the farmers market they're so beautiful, delicate, and fresh, you simply can't help buying some. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil |
1 1/2 tablespoons finely chopped shallot |
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper |
1/2 lb summer lettuces such as baby red oak, bibb, and baby romaine (12 cups total) |
Directions:
1. Whisk together oil, shallot, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a large serving bowl. 2. Just before serving, add lettuces to dressing and toss to coat. |
