This recipe goes with Ragout Of Lamb Ingredients:
2 cups milk |
1 cup regular cream of wheat (enriched farina) |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 egg yolks, beaten |
2/3 cup crushed saltine crackers |
vegetable oil |
Directions:
1. Heat milk in top of a double boiler; add cream of wheat and salt. Cook 5 minutes or until mixture is thickened, stirring frequently. Cool. 2. Add egg yolks, mixing well. Shape into 1-inch balls; roll in cracker crumbs to coat. Deep-fry balls in hot oil (375°) until golden brown. Serve Farina Balls immediately with ragout. |
