From the kitchen of Tona Thornburg Court, Bridgeton MO. Ingredients:
3 cups sugar |
1/4 cup margarine |
2/3 cup evaporated milk |
1 (12 ounce) package semisweet chocolate pieces |
1 (7 ounce) jar marshmallow cream |
1 cup chopped nuts |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Combine sugar, margarine and milk in heavy 2 1/2 quart saucepan; bring to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Continue boiling 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly to prevent scorching. Remove from heat; stir in chocolate pieces until melted. Add marshmallow cream, nuts and vanilla; beat until well-blended. Pour into buttered 9x13 pan. Cool at room temperature; cut into squares. |
