This came from the Miami Herald column called Desperation Dinners . They said that it appeals to the kid in everyone but is a bit more sophisticated. You be the judge. Ingredients:
1/2 lb ground beef |
1/2 lb fully cooked smoked sausage, such as kielbasa |
1 (28 ounce) can baked beans, with onion, bacon, and brown sugar |
1 (15 ounce) can black beans |
1 teaspoon instant minced garlic |
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef half way. 2. Drain. 3. Cut sausage into pieces and add to ground beef. 4. Reduce heat to medium and cook until both meats are completely browned. 5. Add the baked beans. 6. Rinse and drain the black beans and add to the skillet. 7. Stir in the garlic and Worcestershire sauce. 8. Bring the mixture just to a boil. 9. Reduce heat and simmer a few minutes to combine flavors. |
