Famous Apple Jack Cookies |

This is a recipe that was part of last year's cookie exchange which I host every year. Every guest brings 10 dozen cookies and we usually have around 40 guests. This was submitted by my good friend Kim. Enjoy Ingredients:
1 cup light brown sugar |
1/2 cup shortening |
1 egg |
1-1/2 cups flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 cup chopped unpeeled apples |
Directions:
1. Cream together sugar and shortening then beat in egg.
2. Sift together dry ingredients and add to mixture then beat until well blended and stir in apples.
3. Drop in the shape of a ball on a greased cookie sheet and Bake at 375 for 15 minutes.
