Everybody has a favorite recipe for mashed potatoes. I came up with this recipe and my family loves it. My grandson insists that he have a test taste and approve each bach before they go to the table. He says they are no good, but offers to eat them all just to protect the others! Read more ! Ingredients:
6 large irish or russet potatoes, peeled and diced |
4 sticks butter (lightly salted is ok) |
4-6 cubes chicken bouillon |
1 tsp granulated garlic |
1-11/2 cups buttermilk |
salt and black pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Steam diced potatoes until fork tender. 2. Add butter, bouillon, garlic, and 1 cup buttermilk. Season the mixture with salt and black pepper. 3. Use a potato masher to mash and blend to desired consistency, using remaining buttermilk as necessary. 4. Serve hot. |
