Found this in an old magazine. Ingredients:
1 1/3 lbs stewing beef |
4 yellow onions |
6 cloves garlic |
2 tablespoons margarine |
1 tablespoon paprika |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 bay leaf |
1 teaspoon cumin |
1 teaspoon marjoram |
1 teaspoon thyme |
1/3 cup tomato paste |
1 2/3 cups vegetable broth |
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 325°F. 2. Cut the meat into cubes. 3. Peel and cut the onions and garlic into thin slices. 4. Saute the onions and garlic in the margarine until soft. 5. Add the meat, brown slightly. 6. Add the rest of the ingredients, stir and let it get to a boil. 7. Cover the pan and put it into the preheated oven. 8. Let simmer until the meat is tender, approximately 2 hours. |
