Flavorful chili dish. My Dad's original with a few changes/adds of my own over the years. This is a favorite of my family and requested often!! Ingredients:
1 lb browned pork sausage, mild or hot |
1 lb browned ground chuck |
1 onion chopped |
1 green bell pepper chopped |
1 can of diced tomatos |
1 can rotel tomatos |
1 can tomato paste |
3 cans dark red kidney beans drained |
1/2 cup coffee |
1 tablespoon onion powder |
1 tablespoon chili powder |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Combine ingredients into large sauce pan or crook pot 2. Allow to cook minimun of 3 hours. 3. Serve over rice with additonal chopped onion and a good colby cheese. Or with oyster crackers. |
