A tasty burger with a Southwestern flair - from Canadian Living. Ingredients:
1 egg |
1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 sweet red pepper, diced |
2 cloves garlic, minced |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
1 teaspoon chili powder |
1 lb medium ground beef |
salsa |
1 avocado, sliced |
Directions:
1. In bowl, beat egg with fork; mix in bread crumbs, salt, pepper, red pepper, garlic, lemon juice and chili powder. 2. Mix in ground beef. 3. Shape into four 1/2-inch (1 cm) thick patties. 4. Place on greased grill over medium-high heat; close lid and cook, turning once, for about 10 minutes or until no longer pink inside. 5. Add salsa and avocado. 6. Place each in bun. |
