Fairground Caramelized Nuts |

This is a much cheaper way to reproduce fairground nuts and available when the fair is out of town. Sometimes I use strawberry-orange juice, which gives it a nice flavor. Try any variation you like! Ingredients:
4 tablespoons sugar |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 tablespoon water or 1 tablespoon juice |
4 ounces nuts (any) |
Directions:
1. Combine the all ingredients and heat on medium. 2. Stir continuously. 3. When the sugar has melted and the nuts are coated, spread them on a cookie tray to dry. 4. Try to separate the nuts from each other to keep them from drying as one lump. |
