Adding baking soda prevents any bitterness. Ingredients:
3 family-size tea bags |
3 -4 cups water |
1/4 teaspoon baking soda |
1 cup sugar |
Directions:
1. Bring water just to a boil but DO NOT BOIL. 2. Add baking soda and tea bags. 3. Remove from heat Cover. 4. Steep 10-15 minutes. 5. Pour into a gallon pitcher. 6. Add sugar (you can add an additional 1/3 cup, if desired). 7. Stir well. 8. Fill with cold water and refrigerate. 9. Adding the baking soda prevents any bitterness and darkens the tea. |
