Can be eaten as a snack or with milk as a cereal. Ingredients:
3 cups regular oats, uncooked |
1 (2 1/8 ounce) bottle sesame seeds |
1 (3 3/4 ounce) package salted sunflower seeds |
1 (2 1/4 ounce) package sliced almonds |
1/2 cup flaked coconut |
3/4 cup pure maple syrup |
1/2 cup vegetable oil |
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1 cup raisins |
1/2 cup chopped dates |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven 325 degrees. 2. Combine first 5 ingredients in large bowl. 3. Combine maple syrup and next 5 ingredients; pour over oat mixture and stir well. 4. Spread evenly in a 15 x10 x1 jelly roll pan; bake for 30 minutes or until golden, stirring every 10 minutes. 5. Turn oven off and leave in hot oven an additional 5 minutes; remove from oven. 6. Stir in raisins and dates; let cool. 7. Store in airtight container. |
