This meat loaf, using dry stuffing mix, is a favorite with everyone. I freeze half of it for a quick meal later. Great for sandwiches, too. Ingredients:
2 pounds lean ground beef |
1 (6 ounce) package dry bread stuffing mix |
2 eggs |
1 cup water |
1 onion, chopped |
1 (28 ounce) jar pasta sauce |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). 2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, dry bread stuffing mix, eggs, water and onion. Mix thoroughly. 3. Shape into 2 small loaves, or 1 large loaf. Put into a 9x13 inch baking dish and cover with pasta sauce. 4. Bake, uncovered, in the preheated oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour. |
