These cookies will usher you into the 7th Heaven, this is recipe that is to die for!!!! It makes WAY more than you need. So I take the at least half of it and make logs that I wrap in wax paper for cookies later. You can either freeze or refrigerate the extra dough (I keep it in the fridge because we use it up pretty fast!) You MUST use the Ghirardelli 60% Bittersweet Chocolate chips for half the chocolate. These are chewy, chocolaty and very decadent. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
1 cup margarine (i only use imperial for this) |
1 1/4 cups sugar |
1 1/4 cups brown sugar |
1 tablespoon vanilla |
2 eggs |
4 cups flour |
2 teaspoons baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 cups chocolate chips (plain) |
2 cups bittersweet chocolate chips (ghirardelli 60% cacao) |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350. In large bowl beat butters, sugars, vanilla and eggs on med. speed until light and fluffy. Stir in flour, baking soda, salt (dough will be stiff). Stir in all choc. chips. 2. On ungreased cookie sheet, drop dough by tablespoons fulls. (walnut size.) flatten slightly. 3. Bake 11 to 13 minute or until desired doneness. (starting to look golden, yet still soft and chewy) Cool 1-2 min, remove. Take a bite of a little bit of heaven! 4. For nut lovers: Stir in 2 cups coarsely chopped nuts with the chocolate chips. |
