Ingredients:
* 1 c all-purpose flour |
* 1 c yellow cornmeal |
* 1/4 c turbinado sugar; (or sub |
* 1 1/2 tb baking powder |
* 1/2 ts salt |
* 1 c shredded cheddar cheese |
* 2 eggs |
* 1 c milk |
* 1/4 c vegetable oil |
* 1 red bell pepper; diced |
* 4 hot new mexico green chiles |
* 1 jalepeno; finely chopped |
* 1 habenero; finely chopped |
* 1 yellow hot; finely chopped |
* 1/2 onion; diced |
Directions:
1. Posted by rhea bays: Stir together dry ingredients and cheese. Add eggs, milk, and oil, stirring until well combined, but a little lumpy. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into a greased 9x13 baking pan, bake for 20 min. at 425 degrees. Comments We like to eat this with butter and jelly (hab or jalepeno) or with mango salsa.
