I got this recipe from my mother, we make it every year to go on our Christmas cookie trays. Ingredients:
crust |
1 cup oats |
1/2 cup flour |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1/4 tsp. baking soda |
6 tablespoons melted butter |
filling |
3/4 cup sugar |
1/4 cup butter |
1 square unsweetened chocolate |
1 egg |
2/3 cup flour |
1/4 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 cups milk |
1/2 tsp. vanilla |
1/2 cup nuts |
frosting |
1 square unsweetened chocolate |
2 tablespoons butter |
1-1/2 cups powdered sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. 1. Combine all ingredients for crust and spread in the bottom of a 11 x 7 pan and bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes. 2. 2. Then combine all ingredients for the filling and after 10 minutes take pan out of oven and pour the filling and on top of crust evenly. Bake for another 25 minutes. Then remove to cool. 3. 3. When there cool, you can combine ingredients for frosting and spread over the top and enjoy! |
