This is a waffle recipe that you can make ahead by adding only the dry ingredients and storing away in the refrigerator and then add the active liquids - very good and easy Ingredients:
1 3/4 cup flour |
1/2 tsp salt |
3 tsp baking powder |
2 eggs (separated) |
1 1/4 cup milk (or buttermilk) |
1/2 cup butter (melted) |
Directions:
1. Pre-heat your waffle iron. 2. In large bowl sift together dry ingredients. 3. Beat egg yolks, add milk, butter and set aside. 4. Mix yolks and dry ingredients. 5. Whip egg whites to peak stage. 6. Fold into the rest of the mixture - place 1/4 cup of the batter in a large waffle Iron cook till golden brown and serve immediately. |
