A great Weight Watcher recipe! This is a wonderful bread to make and have for everyday use. It only takes a little time to throw everything into the machine to have yummy, hot bread waiting for us in the morning. The recipe makes a 2 pound loaf. The points come out to not quite .9 per ounce, so a generous slice (14 slices/loaf) would be 2 points or a skinny 1 point slice! Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups water |
1 1/2 teaspoons salt |
1/4 cup sugar (may use splenda for lower points) |
1 cup oats (uncooked oatmeal) |
2 cups whole wheat flour |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
2 1/4 teaspoons yeast (or one envelope) |
Directions:
1. Put ingredients into bread maker in order given above. Bake on Basic cycle. |
