This was my mother's recipe for pecan pies. She always used pecan halves and I do think that was what made the difference. People beg for me to bake these and they are so easy to make, I really don't mind. Ingredients:
3/4 cup sugar |
2 tablespoons flour |
1 cup dark corn syrup |
1/2 cup milk |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 cups pecans |
2 shallow 9-inch pie shells |
Directions:
1. Place 1 cup pecans in each pie crust. 2. Mix remaining ingredients and pour equal amounts into each pie crust. 3. Bake at 375°F about 50 minutes, or until firm. |
