This is more of an infusion than a true tea, since it isn't made with tea leaves. You will have leftover spice tea to store. Ingredients:
1 teaspoon ground cardamom |
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves |
1 cup water |
1 (1/4-inch-thick) slice fresh ginger |
Directions:
1. Stir all ground spices together in a small bowl. 2. Bring water to a boil. Add 1/8 teaspoon spice mixture and ginger and simmer 4 minutes. Pour tea through a fine sieve lined with a coffee filter or paper towel in a cup. |
