No cooking needed. What could be easier? This is a great recipe to make with your kids or grandkids. Ingredients:
3/4 cup butter (softened) |
3/4 cup sugar |
1 tablespoon water |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract |
3 tablespoons unsweetened baking cocoa |
2 cups quick oats (the finer, the better) |
confectioners' sugar (enough to coat balls) |
Directions:
1. Beat butter well. Add sugar and mix. 2. Add water, vanilla and cocoa and mix. 3. Add and mix in the oats last. 4. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight. 5. Shape mixture into 36 (3 dozen) walnut-sized balls and roll in confectioners sugar. 6. Keep cookies refrigerated until ready to serve. |
