SNAILS WITH GARLIC AND HERB BUTTER.... I MAKE PLENTY BECAUSE YOU TELL ME WHAT IS NICER THAN SNAILS, WINE AND GOOD COMPANY :) Ingredients:
200 g (1 can) snails in brine, drained |
125 g butter |
5 cloves garlic, finely chopped |
60 ml parsley, finely chopped |
60 ml chervil, finely chopped (optional) |
60 ml chives, finely chopped |
1 loaf of brown bread, crust removed and cut into triangles |
Directions:
1. PRE-HEAT OVEN TO 180C 2. PLACE SNAILS ON A SNAIL DISH 3. MIX TOGETHER BUTTER, GARLIC AND HERBS AND DOLLOP OVER SNAILS 4. BAKE FOR 15 MINUTES OR UNTIL BUTTER HAS MELTED AND SNAILS HAVE HEATED THROUGH 5. SERVE WITH WEDGES OF BREAD 6. NOW I LIKE TO USE BAGUETTES INSTEAD OF THE BROWN BREAD, TOAST THEM THEN PILE LOTS AND LOTS OF CREAMY CAMEMBERT OR BRIE - ROAST THEM UNDER THE GRILLER AND SERVE IT WITH DRINKS 7. ENJOY :) |
