6 apples, peeled, cored and sliced |
1/2 cup sugar |
3 tablespoons flour |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/4 teaspoon clove |
1/2 cup raisins |
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 cup whole milk |
Directions:
1. Place apples in a large bowl. 2. In a small bowl, mix together sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. 3. Stir spice mixture into apples until evenly distributed. 4. Fold in raisins and walnuts. 5. Spoon into a greased 2-quart casserole dish. 6. Mix vanilla and milk; pour evenly over apple mixture. 7. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 to 60 minutes, or until soft and bubbly. 8. Allow to cool slightly before serving. |
