Original recipe from Southern Living called for adding a pecan half on top of each cookie - which would have brought the calories for each tiny cookie up a lot higher. Calorie count is for one 13g cookie*. (*average size of the ones I made, some were 14g some were 12g) Also, calorie- only had regular sweetened condensed milk on the list and I used low-fat so the totals will be a bit lower. Ingredients:
14 ounce low fat sweetened condensed milk |
2 cups (12 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips |
1/4 cup butter |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. In a saucepan over medium melt together sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips and butter, stirring constantly. 2. Remove from heat and mix in flour and vanilla until combined. Add pecans pieces. 3. Drop batter by rounded teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350F for 7 minutes. If using an insulated baking sheet they may require an additional 3-4 minutes cooking time. Note: When they're done they will still be sizzling on the cookie sheet. |
