An adult bevy I found on Tasty German Recipes dot com. Slightly different that the other two I found here on Zaar. It is a favorite wedding drink - and is suggested that you use very ripe berries for the best flavor!! **Cook time is chill time. Ingredients:
500 g strawberries |
2 ounces sugar |
1 (750 ml) bottle red wine, unchilled |
1 (750 ml) bottle white wine, well chilled |
lemon juice |
0.5 (750 ml) bottle champagne or 0.5 (750 ml) bottle sparkling wine |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl sprinkle the strawberries with the sugar and leave for a few hours.
2. Add half a bottle of the red wine and let the mixture stand.
3. Just before serving add the remaining half bottle of red wine and the well chilled white wine.
4. Sprinkle with a little lemon juice and then lightly mix in the sparkling wine or champagne.
5. ENJOY!
