This is my hubby's Sunday favorite with fried chicken and mashed potatoes! Ingredients:
1 cup celery, finely chopped |
1 cup onion, finely chopped |
1 stick butter, plus a little more for bread crumbs |
2 cups drained english peas |
1 can sliced water chestnuts |
1 can cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup |
1 small jar diced pimientos |
bread crumbs |
Directions:
1. Saute celery and onion in butter for 5 minutes. 2. Add remaining ingredients, except bread crumbs, and place in casserole. 3. Cover with bread crumbs and dot with butter. 4. Bake until bubbly, about 30 minutes at 350 degrees. |
