Trying to recreate a bar I purchased at our local food co-op. Not exactly the same yet, but still delicious! Ingredients:
1 cup whole wheat flour |
1 cup rolled oats |
3 tablespoons canola oil |
3/4 cup honey |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup chocolate chips |
1/2 cup peanut butter chips |
1/2 cup dried currant |
cooking spray |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Coat 8x8 pan in cooking spray. 3. Combine honey, canola oil, brown sugar and vanilla in a medium bowl. 4. Stir in cinnamon, salt and baking soda. 5. Stir in flour and oats. 6. Add chocolate chips, peanut butter chips and currants. 7. Spread mixture into prepared pan. 8. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes until top just begins to brown. 9. Cool completely on wire rack. 10. Cut into 12 squares. 11. Wrap individually and store in the refridgerator. |
