This zippy Mexican casserole is a real winner at our house. It's so flavorful and filling, we usually just accompany it with rice and black beans. If your family has spicier tastes, increase the chili powder and use a medium or hot salsa.Julie Huffman, New Lebanon, Ohio Ingredients:
1-1/2 pounds ground turkey or beef |
1 large onion, chopped |
1 cup water |
2 to 3 tablespoons chili powder |
1-1/2 teaspoons salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
2 cups salsa, divided |
10 flour tortillas (8 inches), cut into 3/4-inch strips, divided |
