These were so good. The recipe came from a friend of mine in Texas. Ingredients:
1/2 lb cooked chicken, shredded |
1/2 cup onion, chopped |
1 garlic clove, minced |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated |
1/4 cup picante sauce |
1 teaspoon chili powder |
tabasco sauce |
salt |
36 inches pie crusts |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. 2. Saute chicken, onion and garlic in oil until onion is clear. 3. Add cheese, picante sauce and seasonings. Heat thoroughly. 4. Cit pie crusts into 2 1/2 inch circles with a biscuit cutter. Spoon 1 teaspoon of meat mixture in the center of each circle. Fold in half and seal by pinching the edges with your fingers. 5. Bake 10 - 12 minutes until golden brown. |
