This recipe came from my dad's mom. It is so old that the original recipe calls for 2 wooden spoons of vegetable oil. I can get graham flour from my local grocery store, but if you can't, try a health food store. This bread is sooo good toasted. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups milk |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup sugar |
2 tablespoons oil |
1 egg, beaten |
2 cups graham flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingrediants and mix just until dry ingrediants are worked in well. 2. Pour into a loaf pan. 3. Bake 350 1 hour or until loaf cracks and knife comes out clean. |
