Ingredients:
3 cup(s) all-purpose flour |
2 tablespoon(s) baking powder |
1 teaspoon(s) salt |
1/2 cup(s) butter or 1 stick |
1/2 cup(s) milk |
1/2 cup(s) buttermilk |
1/3 cup(s) sour cream |
1/8 teaspoon(s) sugar |
1/8 teaspoon(s) vanilla |
Directions:
1. Sift the flour with the baking powder and salt. Cut in the butter and blend with a pastry blender until mixture looks like coarse bread crumbs, then add the other ingredients. Stir only until combined. Toss the dough in a little flour and pat it down with hands, do not roll it. When it's 1/2 thick cut into biscuits and place on lightly greased pan. Bake for 8-10 minutes in a hot oven of 450*. When they are light and golden, they are perfect. Makes 8 large, 15 medium or 24-30 little biscuits. |
