South African Elephant Stew is basic and simple and very different, full of fresh vegies and meat in a thick brown gravy Ingredients:
1 elephant |
2 rabbits |
salt and pepper |
150 pounds carrots, choped |
150 pounds onions, choped |
250 pounds sweet potatoes, choped |
60 pounds of parsley, choped |
150 pounds of parsnips, choped |
30 pounds mix spices chefs choice |
50 pounds flour |
100 gal water |
30 gal of peanut oil |
Directions:
1. First, cut the elephant into bite-sized pieces. 2. Coat meat in flour and salt and pepper. 3. brown meat over wood fire. 4. Add remaining flour to browned meat add more oil if needed to form a paste 5. Add water, and vegies to stock pot 6. bring to a rapid boil an reduce heat to simmer 7. Simmer for 1 and 1/2 days stiring every so often 8. This will serve 1,360 people. If more guests are expected, add the 2 rabbits. 9. ONLY!
