This was my nectar last weekend when I was feeling really sick. There's something wonderful about hot chicken broth with garlic and fresh shiitakes... Ingredients:
2 cups of chicken broth (preferably low-sodium) |
4 medium fresh shiitake mushrooms (caps and stems), sliced |
1 clove of garlic, minced |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan with a good-fitting lid. 2. Cover and place on the lowest possible flame. 3. Cook for 15 minutes, or until boiling. 4. Serves two for an appetizer (or palate cleanser) or one sick adult who doesn't want noodles in her soup. |
