Elegant Sour Cream Pound Cake

This pound cake is so easy to make! My family just loves it!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
3 cups sugar
6 eggs, separated (egg whites - room temperature)
3 cups sifted cake flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup commercial sour cream
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350-degrees F.
2. Grease a 10-inch tube pan.
3. Cream butter and shortening; gradually add sugar beating well.
4. Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating after each.
5. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
6. Beat egg whites until stiff; gently fold into batter.
7. Pour into prepared tube pan.
8. Bake for 1-1/2 hours.
9. Cool in pan 10 minutes.
