Back in the 1960s, I bought an old cookbook at an auction. Inside were several old recipes handwritten on plain paper, including recipes for home remedies like this tea.Genevieve Corley, Amesbury, Massachusetts Ingredients:
1 to 2 tablespoons dried elderberry blossoms or 2 to 3 tablespoons fresh elderberry blossoms |
1 cup boiling water |
sugar to taste |
1 thin lemon slice |
Directions:
1. In a tea cup or mug, steep elderberry blossoms in boiling water for 5-10 minutes; strain. Add sugar and lemon. Yield: 1 serving. |
