A simple meat sauce from my mom; same recipe for 40 years! I season it differently almost every time and it always tastes great. Sometimes I add mushrooms and/or stewed tomatoes. Ingredients:
2 lbs hamburger |
1 medium onion |
2 (10 ounce) cans tomato sauce |
1 (12 ounce) can tomato paste |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
Directions:
1. finely dice an onion, then. 2. brown burger and onion in medium pot. 3. pour off fat. 4. add tomato sauce and paste. 5. cook well on low for 30 minutes. 6. dissolve brown sugar into recipe before serving. 7. season as desired. 8. serve over pasta or use in lasagna. |
