Elaines Roasted Onions

Spanish onions,seasoned with herbs and spices, and barbecued... a delightful side dish!
Ingredients:
6 large spanish onions
2 tbsp each
basil
thyme
oregano
lemon pepper (unsalted)
minced garlic
tinfoil
Directions:
1. cut off both ends of the onions, and remove the outer peel
2. combine in a bowl:
3. basil, thyme, oregano, lemon pepper and garlic
4. Combine thoroughly
5. Cut crosswise slits into the onions, and add a generous amount of the mixture of herbs and spices
6. Envelope with heavy-duty tinfoil, and set onto the barbecue grill, lid closed. Cook at medium-high heat for 25 minutes, or until done to your preference.
