This recipe, while NOT EDIBLE, is one which will help flea-infested pets obtain relief. I was forced to categorize as an 'appetizer' and 'side dish' simply to get this to post! Ingredients:
about 20 fresh mint sprigs, plant stalk and all |
1 cup water |
2 tsp vanilla extract |
1/2 cup johnson’s baby shampoo |
Directions:
1. place the mint and water into a cooking pot
2. bring to a rolling boil.
3. Add the vanilla and incorporate thoroughly
4. (the vanilla relaxes the ‘sting’ of the mint against poor pet’s raw or tender skin)
5. allow to cool
6. add the Johnson’s baby shampoo and stir until soapy bubbles form
7. strain into a dish
8. wash your pet with this
9. try to leave it on your pet for five minutes
10. rinse off gently with tepid water and pat the pet dry
