The original drink made its first appearance in 1946 in Trader Vic’s Book of Food and Drink. I'll bet Vic knew how to throw one heck of a party.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 ounces agave silver tequila
1/2 ounce creme de cassis
1/2 ounce lime juice
ice
ginger beer or ginger ale
Directions:
1. Place everything except ginger ale or beer in an ice-filled shaker. Shake and strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Top with ginger ale or beer and give it a light stir.
