Modified egyptian rice dish for those who don't like beef. Ingredients:
1 lb ground turkey (or spicy ground turkey for a little kick) |
1 small onion, chopped |
2 cups chicken stock |
2 -3 tablespoons soy sauce |
1 -2 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
1 cup sliced mushrooms |
1 cup raw rice |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Brown ground turkey & onion. 2. Add remaining ingredients. 3. Cover and simmer until rice is done. 4. To serve, put on top a dollop of sour cream. 5. and sprinkle with toasted slivered almonds. |
