A wonderful vegetarian dish flavorful with and nice texture Ingredients:
1 cup lentils |
water and salt |
1 cup raw elbow macaroni |
1 cup raw basmati rice |
1 cup drained canned chickpeas |
1 tbs olive oil |
1 large onion sliced |
3 cloves garlic minced |
1 chil pepper of choice, seeded and minced |
1/2 tsp tumeric |
1 cup tomato puree |
Directions:
1. Cook lentils in salted water till tender. 2. Drain and set aside 3. Cook pasta and drain 4. Cook rice till tender and fluffy 5. In pan in oil oil saute onion and garlic, then chiles and tumeric till onion tender. 6. Add and heat tomato puree. 7. Add in everything else and cook and stir to heat through. 8. Salt to taste |
