crispy tasty fries with a kick Ingredients:
1 peeled eggplant cut into french fry sticks |
2 tablespoons whole wheat flour |
1 teaspoon onion powder |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/4 teaspoon chipotel jalepino powder |
salt |
oil in deep fryer |
Directions:
1. Heat oil in deep fryer to 450 2. put flour,onion powder,garlic powder, and chipotel powder into a gallon size ziplock bag 3. when temp is right in fryer add the eggplant sticks to the ziplock bag and shake well to coat all the sticks, do not do this ahead of time the eggplant seeps and makes a paste on the sticks causing them to 4. stick together when frying 5. place the eggplant in the fryer and cook for about 10 minutes your fryer may vary, and remember the amount of sticks you cook at one time.will cause your cooking time to vary 6. salt as soon as you remove from fryer 7. enjoy while hot |
