This recipe comes from the Harden Estate that I purchased in Van, Texas in 1992. Enjoy Ingredients:
2 cups eggnog |
1 egg slightly beaten |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
6 croissants |
3 tablespoons butter |
Directions:
1. Mix eggnog and cinnamon stirring well. 2. Slice croissants lengthwise then melt one tablespoon butter in a skillet or on a griddle. 3. Dip 1 croissant half in the batter and place in the griddle then repeat with remaining halves. 4. Cook on each side for 2 minutes using remaining butter as needed. 5. Remove to a serving platter then serve at once with warm maple syrup. |
